 | | Peter J Gilmour - Director and Owner
Peter opened the business fifteen years ago with his Partner Charles Birch. Charles ran the business till his retirement until 2005 when Peter and Laura took over. Peter's career has always been in property and he was the senior partner for 25 years in Shepherd Gilmour Partnership Consulting Civil and Structural Engineers. He was a professional footballer and manager at non league level for 20 years before retiring due to the pressures of running a successful engineering practice. He supports both Manchester United and Manchester City and has a strong dislike for Liverpool FC.

Denise helped to set up the business originally with Charles Birch and now assists only in the busy season (July, August September); the rest of her time is spent cooking!

 | | Laura Smith-Gilmour – Director and Owner
Laura took over the running of the business in 2005 following a successful career in the Telecoms Industry. Due to her drive and hard work the business has since grown year on year. She is now looking to expand by opening another branch - so watch this space. SG has achieved a National Top Ten position in the Letting Agent of the Year Awards for 3 years. Laura already holds both the NFOPP Technical Award in Residential Letting & Property Management and the NFOPP Technical Award in Sale of Residential Property. Laura is studying for the NFOPP Diploma as well as learning to snowboard.

 | | Stuart Daniels – Sales Manager
A long standing member of the team, Stuart has enjoyed a long and successful career at SGPL for over 10 years. Stuart has an in-depth knowledge of the City Centre property market and is a familiar face to the City Centre residents. He has achieved the NFOPP Technical Award in Sale of Residential Property and is now studying towards the next level. Stuart always has a positive for the market. An avid Manchester City fan with an ability to carry off a pink shirt and tie combo!

 | | Colin Scarbrough – Property Manager
Colin joined SGPL in September 2009 having enjoyed a long career in sales and customer service in the Telecoms Industry. He has recently achieved the NFOPP Technical Award in Residential Letting & Property Management , and manages a portfolio of properties for SGP. Colin is a regular on the Manchester Music scene and manages a Sunday League Football team.

 | | Richard Marks – Lettings Manager
Richard has been in property for over 5 years, previously working in commercial property as well as residential. Since joining in early 2010 Richard has become an invaluable part of the team. He has recently achieved the NFOPP Technical Award in Residential Letting & Property Management . Richard enjoys travelling and has competed in The Jewish Olympics.

 | | Maja Gans – Property Manager
Maja started out as part time in August 2009 while she completed her degree in Psychology and Criminology at Salford University. Having got the taste for the Property Market, Maja accepted a full time position in May 2010, and has recently bought her first house. She has completed the NFOPP Technical Award in Residential Letting & Property Management and is now studying towards the Diploma. In her spare time Maja enjoys too many BLT’s and the odd Martini.
